The VCWAP | All You Need To Know

The VCWAP is the flagship annual event organized by AWAP, held online each year around March 8th to celebrate International Women’s Day. Created in 2020, this international and inclusive conference offers a platform for early-career women researchers in archaeology and paleontology to present their latest work and for women paleoartists to showcase their artworks in a virtual gallery. It is also a space to exchange ideas, tackle gender inequalities, challenge stereotypes, and promote diversity and inclusion in scientific research.
Entirely free and open to all as an audience, the VCWAP addresses challenges such as gender disparities and barriers to accessing scientific events. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, the conference empowers women to share knowledge, build networks, and inspire the scientific community to change.
